Description: Opened in 1981, this "unusual" and original Museum contains 14 thousand pieces, but only 8,000 are on display: tin soldiers from all periods, valuable samples such as the 19C ones from Norimberga ("the city of toys") and more simple and ingenious ones made of plaster or kaolin of the 30's or plastic ones of the post-war period. An army consisting of Sumeri, Fenicians, Egyptians, Romans, Barbarians, Napolean's regiments and from various small Italian states upto its its unity. In addition: models, scenic panels, historical sketches, illustrative panels with captions.
