The 12th-century Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta houses, divided in five rooms,
works of art frpm the Collegiate itself and from other churches of the area: paintings by
Sienese school, 14th- to 17th-century sculptures, silver works (among which a remarkable
processional cross, 2nd half of the 14th century, and two reliquary urns by Pietro Montini),
wooden furnishings and ecclesiastical vestments. Other remarkable exhibits: panels by
Domenico di Michelino and Neri di Bicci, a wooden casket decorated with 15 scenes
representing the Mysteries of the Rosary by Alessandro Casolani (1522-1606). The
archaeology section houses finds (mostly Etruscan) from a local necropolis.
